Idol: Ashthon Gets the Boot…

The Top 13 gave it all they got on Wednesday night…well, most of them at least.  Karen Rodriguez and Ashthon Jones delivered sub-par performances and it landed them in the bottom three, along with Haley Reinhart.  Ryan revealed that it was indeed Ashton who got the fewest votes.  She “sang for her life”, but the judges didn’t choose to extend her stay on the show with their one and only Judges Save.  Here’s Ashthon’s Goodbye Montage…

Adam Lambert made an appearance on the show last night to premiere an accoustic version of his new song “Aftermath.”  Inspired by the It Gets Better Campaign, this song is really touching and I think you’ll like it.  If you missed it…or you just want to hear it again, here’ s the video.  (Stick with it to the end to see JLO teach Seacrest how to Dougie!)

The Group Performance this week was a medley of Micheal Jackson songs.  What did you think of the performance?  It wasn’t as lame as it usually is…or am I just getting used to Kidz Bop-esque performances because of “Glee”?  I can’t decide.  You tell me…

Finally…Seacrest announced that Casey Abrams was missing from last night’s Results Show due to a hospitalization, but of course, he didn’t give us any details!   According to The Hollywood Reporter, Casey was in the hospital to receive a blood transfusion.  Apparently Casey suffers from ulcerative colitis, an inflamatory bowel disease which affects the lining of the large intestine.  This is Casey’s second trip to the hospital since his stint on Idol began.  He was also hospitalized after Hollwood Week.  Let’s hope he’s feeling better!  Last night Casey tweeted,

“Hey guys, thanks for the well wishes.  I got some nice fresh blood in me and feeling better. People at Idol and Cears [Sinai Medical Center] are treatin me real good”
