Box Office: “Hop” Leaps to #1 Spot

Hop, starring Russell Brand as the voice of the Easter Bunny, opened in first place at the weekend box office, surpassing expectations with a $38.1 million debut. Jake Gyllenhaal’s Source Code opened in second place. Last weekend’s top movie, Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Rodrick Rules, fell to fourth place.
