Lingerie for FOUR YEAR OLDS. Yep, it’s happening.

From France (who are hell bent on having NOTHING to do with any kind of age appropriate stance on anything) we bring you lingerie for FOUR YEAR OLDS!!!! Actually the Jours Apres Lunes line offers selections from ages 4-12. Here’s a few pictures from thier most recent ad campaign:
Maybe I’m over reacting, but WHO IN THIER RIGHT MIND WOULD BUY THIS STUFF FOR THIER KIDS????? I’m VERY uncomfortable just seeing the ads. What 7 year old needs French lingerie???

Here’s the link with more details: http://fashionista.com/2011/08/new-french-lingerie-line-jours-apres-lunes-is-for-girls-ages-four-through-12-does-it-cross-the-line/

I think the problem is the word lingerie….because in my book the word lingerie implies clothing to be used in a sexual purpose. lingerie is normally to be purchased for a woman or man and then used to seduce their significant other…..I mean….would you ever see a lingerie section in victoria’s secret for little girls…nope and I pray that I never do….I’m far from prudish regarding sex, but this just crosses the line
Ya these ads dont look appropriate at all!!!! I have two girls and the only “lingerie” that my oldest wears is a begginers bra. and until she turns 15-16 that’s about as sexy as we are getting.
I have a 6 yr old daughter and she is curvy and the hardest thing is to find her underware that fits you have hip huggers, low rise bikini cut ect, what is the world coming to that you cant find descent underware for your child finally about 2 yrs age fruit of loom came out with the boys shorts for girls and I can say that is the only thing I allow my child to wear that can cover her properly and is age approperiate for a child why start your daughter off early with thinking it ok to show off her body it doesnt make any sence.
