Is the tattooed Barbie inappropriate??

Check out this limited-edition Barbie from an Italian, Japanese-Inspired brand, Tokidoki. Her neck and left shoulder a covered in tattoos. (You can read more about it here.) Being that Barbie Dolls are marketed to kids, is this doll inappropriate?

society is different now than it used to be. tattoos used to be frowned upon, but now they are everywhere, & while i agree sometimes you see tattoos and wonder “what were they thinking??”, other times they are beautiful works of art, a way of self-expression, & can even be memorials or a way to pay tribute to someone or something. I don’t see anything wrong with the doll…you can’t shelter your kids forever, stop being tight wads!! (:
