Paris Hilton Tackles “New Genre” of Music
If Rebecca Black taught us anything, it’s that if you have money, you can sing.
So it’s no surprise that heiress Paris Hilton is aiming for the pop charts once again… this time with the aid of LMFAO. Which I consider mildly upsetting because I can all but guarantee it will be catchy song.
Oh, and Afrojack is exec-producing the whole album. Tell me it’s not gonna be good! JUST TRY!
The socialite earned mixed reviews for her debut album “Paris” back in 2006, and now she’s planning a comeback with the “Party Rock Anthem” hitmakers.
She tells MTV News, “We’re going to be doing my new single with LMFAO… I’ve known them since I was a little girl. We grew up together ’cause our parents are friends, so I’m just so proud of them and all their success and what they’ve done ’cause they’ve just created this whole Party Rock brand and it’s just so awesome.”
Noting that she grew up singing in the choir and can also play violin, piano and guitar, Paris defends her choice to record another album. “I think a lot of people don’t know that music is my passion since I was a little girl,” she said. “I’m very musically talented. This is more my thing [musically on this album], more of a club scene, more dance. … The single’s done; it’s in the can. That’s probably going to be out [within] the next month or two.”
And Hilton insists her new album will be very different from her debut: “I’m going with a whole new genre.”
What do you think of the idea? Better question: does she even know what the word genre means?
