Miley Cyrus “Forgets Jesus”

Does the whole “she’s just being Miley” thing work as an excuse now that she’s off the Disney channel?

She offended many Christian fans by posting the following picture with a quote from Theoretical Physicist Lawrence Krauss:

“Every atom in your body came from a star that exploded. And, the atoms in your left hand probably came from a different star than your right hand. It really is the most poetic thing I know about physics: You are all stardust. You couldn’t be here if stars hadn’t exploded, because the elements – the carbon, nitrogen, oxygen, iron, all the things that matter for evolution – weren’t created at the beginning of time. They were created in the nuclear furnaces of stars, and the only way they could get into your body is if those stars were kind enough to explode. So, forget Jesus. The stars died so that you could be here today.”

She added the word “Beautiful” to the tweet.

Some of her fans were livid that the star would tweet a photo that said the words, “forget Jesus” and slammed the singer.

“So you are no longer a Christian? Forget Jesus??? Seriously? What has happened to you out there in the famous world? What????,” one person wrote.

Another told the singer to simply “Go to hell.”

To me this seems like something she didn’t think through. She thought it was cool, deep, and edgy. #hipsterfail What do you think of this?

Here’s the article where I first heard about this. It’s not worth reading unless you enjoy disgustingly extrapolated theories presented as facts.
