Would you jump into the car of a stranger? Hundreds of people do it every morning on the way to work to save time and money.

It’s called “slugging” developed in the northeast. The “Sluggers” will park in high populated areas waiting on passengers to take the HOV lane to and from wherever that person needs to go (work, school, home, etc).

You’re probably thinking, “Isn’t this just legalized hitchhiking??” yeah, pretty much but I would check it out. You got to be sure though. I mean, if College Station was the metro size of say… Houston, Heck yes. It’s free, easy and you can decide whether or not the “slugger” you’re commuting with is trust worthy.
