Had some requests to post this again so here it is. It’s part of a Bible verse that my wife and I like a lot. Thanks to Audrey and the crew from Ink Dreams for a great first experience with body art. –Frito
Some people are just WAAAAY more creative than I am. Check out this fake trailer that combines scenes from Seinfeld and the music of Inception. –Frito
I know a few Bears fans and none of them took the loss this hard
So, this may be a little old. It was put together back in 2008, but it’s new to me. Plus, it’s got two of my favorite “super hot females” on the planet mashed up together! What could be better?
So turns out Oprah’s big family secret is that she has a half-sister she never knew about! It’s hard to belive that no one let the cat out of the bag until now. Apparently, Oprah’s younger sister,Patricia, was given up for adoption by Oprah’s mother in 1963. At the time, Oprah was living with her father and was unaware of her mother’s pregnancy. Check out some video from Oprah’s announcemnt here:
Patricia hit the Long Lost Relative Lottery! If you were to find out you were secretly related to a living celebrity, who would you choose???
That didn’t take long. Williams was staying in South Padre and was supposed to be getting treatment for alcohol and cocaine addiction. Allegedly he was going to be in for a few months. Turns out he was there for less than two weeks before calling it quits. According to TMZ he was headed for the airport. His girlfriend is in rehab in California.
Everytime I read an update now honestly get angry. Not mad at Ted, I don’t know the guy and to be honest he was clearly homeless for a reason.
I get mad that somehow what was the feel good story of 2011 is now an early front runner for the trainwreck story of the year instead. –Frito
Posting these segments because it may be the hardest I’ve laughed on the show in a while. Every Monday the crew from Brazos Valley This Morning come hang for the 9am hour. Today we decided to talk about something that apparently we all (except Steve) do. 70-80% of people admit to regularly sneaking snacks into movie theatres. Most of us smuggle in the usual stuff (Candy, light snacks, drinks). Shel and I however go big. Full meals. Burritos, Sandwiches, Taco Bell. I’m a big fan of sneaking in “Adult Capri Suns” aka Target Wine Single Serve packets (best idea EVER!!!).
Some of the things you guys have snuck in though took the cake. Enjoy:
Thanks to the guys for coming in today. Had a blast! Also, remember to watch us on KBTX Monday’s at 6:20 for The Buzz. Here’s a link to today’s segment. I accidently hit the wrong button so the whole thing played on Candy 95 too. Oops. Watch the video to see the look of shame and dissapointment cross my face when Chace let me know about it. The ensuing panic made me hit another button which I’m pretty sure caused the awkward silence near the end of the segment too.
I’ll get better at TV. I promise! –Frito
This week’s video from Epic Meal Time. Cameo from the Barely Political crew (The guys who are responsible for the Ke$ha parodies you’ve heard on the show). Enjoy!
Rest in peace to the godfather of Fitness. Jack LaLanne is basically the reason we have personal trainers, Biggest Loser, P90X, and anything else. He also was an inventor of numerous workout machines and a advocate for healthy eating. His juicer is still a GIANT seller. He was also famous for his INSANE feats of strength. Here’s a great article about his top all time displays of athletic power!
Hitting the gym in honor of Jack Lalanne today!
This is one of my fave things BBC Radio does with artist interviews. The artist has to perform one song by someone other than them. Most of the time it’s a song that’s popular right now. Bruno Mars just recently did California Gurls and is getting great reviews. The full version is below. Totally different feel to the song. Check it out!
Amazing, right? Here are some others. First one from the listeners: someone texted in that I should check this out when we were talking about the Bruno cover. Here’s 30 Seconds to Mars doing Bad Romance:
Here’s Paramore putting their spin on Kings of Leon’s Use Somebody:
And this has nothing to do with BBC, but as long as we’re talking covers and Kings of Leon I have to post the Sugarland cover of Sex on Fire (which I think is actually better than the KOL version).
