The Harry Potter movie franchise is coming to a close this summer with the release of “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2“. In the video below, the actors summarize their experience with the wizarding world in just one word. (I think Emma Watson says it best. -alli)
OH EM GEE!!!!! Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber are showing some SERIOUS affection on the beach!
Lauren Alaina had some advice for rejects of America’s Got Talent while on “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno” last night… Turns out, she got rejected from the show! TWICE!
Love her or hate her, I think we can all agree that Lady Gaga is in fantastic shape! Good news for us, her trainer is revealing some of her fitness “secrets.” Little monsters, this is your chance to get a butt (and other body parts) like Lady Gaga’s!
For Lady Gaga’s LEGS: Try “reverse lunges” . . . six sets of 20 . . . while holding a 10-pound weight in each hand, above the knees. The trainer says, quote, “[Lady Gaga] can do this move in hotel rooms.”
For Lady Gaga’s ARMS: Try “overhead dumbbell triceps extensions” . . . six sets of 20 . . . and “lateral dumbbell raises” for your shoulders. The trainer says, quote, “Gaga wants to look like she has long arms . . . we wanted to tone every ounce of her body.”
For Lady Gaga’s ABS: Try “bicycle crunches” . . . six sets of 20. The trainer says, quote, “They train her abs from every direction . . . most of what she wears shows her stomach, so her goal was to have the best abs ever.”
For Lady Gaga’s BUTT: Try “skater lunges” . . . six sets of 20. The trainer says, quote, “You cross your right leg behind your left and drop your right knee like you’re curtseying. Then switch sides and do it again to complete one rep. Getting a great rear-end was another priority for Gaga.”
Amy Poehler gave the commencement speech at Harvard on Monday. Her advice to the Class of 2011:
“Would it kill you to be nicer to your parents? They have sacrificed so much for you and all they want is for you to smile and take a picture with your weird cousins. Do that for them. And with less eye-rolling, please.”
Here’s the entire 15-minute speech:
Justin Bieber is sporting some new bling, and some new ink!
People may have been looking at Selena Gomez’s bikini bod, but we can’t get our eyes off of the “Jesus” inscribed in Hebrew on his ribs!
Congratulations to Scotty McCreery, the Season 10 American Idol! If you missed the show last night, watch the winner announcement and Scotty singing his new single “I Love You This Big” in the video below.
Cute-Boy-Theory prevails. Will we EVER have a female Idol again? Tell us what you think. Did America get it right?
Yes, yes, and more YES!
It’s obvious I have started a serious revolution with bringing back the 90s, because now VH1 is jumping on board and bringing back the classic “Pop-Up Video” with 60 new episodes!!
After a 10-year hiatus, VH1 is resurrecting Pop Up Videos with co-creator Woody Thompson on board as executive producer. The network has ordered 60 half-hour episodes set to bow as a strip in the fall.
The reboot will remain faithful to the original concept of bubbles of true “info nuggets” strategically deployed over music videos for maximum irony. But this time Thompson and his team will also pop-up rap and hip-hop, a genre that was off limits for the original because it was the domain of sister network MTV.
Jeff Olde, VH1′s Executive VP Rep of Original Programming and Production says that Twitter has had and will have a lot of influence in the resurrection.
“Our audience has a particular nostalgia for Pop Up Videos, but they’re also seeking more information on multiple platforms. They’re [using social networking] to create their own pop-ups in a way. So we can hit the nostalgia beat but also have it feel like it’s relevant and current.”
Can you just imagine the epic collaboration that could go down with this old school show and new school social media?! Wow. I can’t wait!
Now, for nostalgic purposes:
The music video is officially back, and the radio star brought it back. (Yeah, I’m taking full credit, duh.)
