Early this year a High School Teacher in New Jersey used Kendrick Lamar’s latest album ‘To Pimp A Butterfly’ to draw comparisons to Toni Morrison‘s novel, The Bluest Eye.
Philadelphia hip-hop site, oogeewowee.com, heard about this and created the “Be Alright” Scholarship which will award a student from the New Jersey high school $1500 to put towards college.
