Houston Chronicle – Lizzo, the Houston-raised performer who espouses body positivity and loving yourself, will perform at RodeoHouston.
The announcement was made Tuesday morning at Elsik High School at the first of three private events. Rapper Bun B and professional tie-down roper Cory Solomon were there to help deliver the news.

Lizzo attended and played in the band at both Alief Elsik High School and the University of Houston. She has often said that Houston is where she found her voice and her love for hip-hop. She was here in October for a sold-out show at Revention Music Center
RodeoHouston runs March 3-22. The majority of the lineup was announced in January and includes Gwen Stefani, Becky G, NCT 127 and Willie Nelson. Those tickets are already on sale.
