I love to eat, that shouldn’t be any surprise. Breakfast foods are my favorites though. Cereal, pancakes, waffles, bacon eggs…crap, now I’m starving! When browsing around the internet today, I came across this in all of it’s glory!
A waffle, sausage, egg taco?! Hell yes! Waffle Tacos should be the wave of the freaking future! It’s Taco Bell taking a page from McDonald’s playbook.
The only downside to this is that it’s Taco Bell. Taco Bell and I haven’t gotten along in about 6 years. Probably because 55% of my meals in my college age was Taco Bell. This might change my personal ban of Taco Bell though.
Seeing this really makes me miss Waffle House. This is the perfect greasy junk food that I need after a night of partying, I might make a trip to a Waffle House JUST to do this to my waffle.

In continuing to get everyone better acquainted with Chilifest 2014 artists, I’ll be updating regularly with tid bits and videos from and about the artists performing.
Today’s update brings us to the boys of Whiskey Myers. Their 2011 album Firewater was nothing short of an amazing piece of work that actually took my a couple of listens to get. The first time I put it on, I was expecting your basic Texas/Red Dirt record. Something more a kin to Cross Canadian Ragweed or Reckless Kelly. A few songs in I just had to stop. I was in the completely wrong mindset to really get what they were doing. Giving it another listen, I get more in the frame of mind of some great 70’s southern rock. Skynyrd, Marshall Tucker Band, and the like. Wow, that completely changed what I was listening to! Whiskey Myers wasn’t trying to sound like these guys, they sounded similar because that’s who these guys were.
Fast forward to February 2014 for their latest project Early Morning Shakes and the band continued to show who they are and do the music they wanted to do. They wouldn’t follow into a trap of being pigeon holed and not do things that are different. This new album is more on the rock side of things, but still has a southern sound that Whiskey Myers has perfected for themselves over the years.
They are without a shadow of a doubt in my top 3 favorite live shows to see. The guys exude cool from the stage and you can tell that they are just having a blast jamming for the fans, and for themselves.
Whiskey Myers will be headlining the Friday night show of Chilifest and maybe if you were on the fence about getting you a Chilifest team together before this Friday, hopefully these words, and giving them a listen will change your mind a little bit.
Chilifest team sign-up is coming up THIS FRIDAY! Being on a chili team is the only way to get in on the great music on Friday night. I’ve got to tell ya that these Friday night bands don’t always get a lot of pub and might not be festival headliners just yet, but they will be sooner rather than later. Get in on the ground floor of their fandom!
Come hang out with myself and the Candy 95 crew 8A-11A as we’ll be live at Callaway Villas for team sign up and some stuff to give away!

I’ll be honest, I thought there’d be a lot more to this video, but Katy wasn’t having any of it.
I thought Katy kissed a girl and liked it before? What did, in the last few years has she realized she didn’t like it as much as she thought she would? Maybe, she just didn’t wanna make out with Miley? I say we run a national contest for what chicks Katy would wanna make out with and then replay this scene with them and see where it goes from there?
In all likelihood, Katy didn’t want to get caught up in the Hurricane Miley circus. Katy is doing quite well on her own and doesn’t need that type of press to keep her star shining bright.

Katy talked about this in last weeks Celebrity Buzz. I meant to blog about it, but I forgot, sue me.
In case you missed it, Drake dissed Diddy in a big way over the NBA All-Star Weekend:
Man, even I know that’s something ya just shouldn’t do! Sure Drake is one of the biggest things in hip-hop right now, but that to disrespect Sean Combs, aka Puff Daddy, aka Puffy, aka P. Diddy, aka Diddy, etc. is just a no-no.
Fun Fact: 2nd concert I ever saw in my life, my dad took me to see Puff Daddy, Mase, Busta Rhymes, Lil Kim, and Mase at the Summit in Houston back in like 98 I think. Quite a different show than the first he took me to, George Jones, Travis Tritt, and John Anderson!

Well folks, Chilifest 2014 is inching closer and closer! Being a guy who’s quite familiar with the artists playing this year, I’ll be posting interviews, videos, and other goodies for you to help you get a little better acquainted with the bands.
Cody Johnson just came out with a new record earlier this year called Cowboy Like Me and it quickly found its way to near the top of the country charts for both iTunes downloads and for Billboard. I was able to catch up with him just prior to him playing another sold out shows at Hurricane Harry’s.
