A NEW astroworld?!

Does anyone else miss Astroworld? Does anyone even remember Astroworld? I mean it has been almost 10 years since the amusement park I grew up going to was shut down, so some of you may not even remember that far back!

Well for those in Houston and the surrounding areas, won’t have to travel to Dallas, San Antonio, or across the country much longer to ride a roller coaster and have a good old family time!

How Game of Thrones should have ended this week

So this is the first season I’ve watched Game of Thrones the same day that it’s been aired. I caught the other episodes up to this one on Netflix and HBO Go. I learned very early on, like most people, that no one is safe and that the bad guys are going to win a lot more than you would ever think they would.

That said, oh by the way POTENTIAL SPOILERS AHEAD FOR THOSE WHO HAVEN’T SEEN THE MOST RECENT EPISODE!

HERE’S YOUR WARNING

IF YOU READ FURTHER WITHOUT WATCHING THIS PAST WEEKS EPISODE, IT’S YOUR OWN FAULT

Okay, now that that is out of the way, what the heck was with the Mountain winning?! None of you people who have read the books spoil anything for me okay? I was so ready for a “good guy” to finally win something, but nooooooooo, that didn’t happen. Instead, let’s smash the hell out of the dude’s head! Maybe Jon Snow can catch a break this week and actually survive?

Well, I think fans of the show should petition HBO and George R.R. Martin to redo Sunday’s episode to make it a little more like this: (KEEP IN MIND, THIS IS GAME OF THRONES SO SOME THERE IS A BIT OF BLOOD IN THE VIDEO. IF THAT OFFENDS YOU, AGAIN, DON’T EVEN WATCH IT THEN COMPLAIN THAT IT’S THERE!)

There we go, finally a happy ending! What do ya say folks? Let’s start a petition!

New Foo Fighters album in November!

Foo Fighters “Wasting Light” came out in 2011 and like many other fans, I’ve been waiting patiently for something new from the band. Now we’ve finally got an answer, well mostly. The band recently announced that November is when their next project will be available to fans! No title or release date yet, but we’ve got plenty from the band to keep us occupied until then. They’ve released a teaser video HBO Documentary Series “Foo Fighters: Sonic Highways“. It’ll premiere sometime this fall.

Country Katy Perry, well, kinda…

CMT has release video of Katy Perry teaming with country singer Kacey Musgraves  for an episode of “CMT Crossroads” that puts a country singer with someone from a different genre. With Kacey hitting the road with Katy later this year, this will give fans a little bit of a preview of what those shows might be!

Check out their duet of “Roar” and let me know what you think!

Get More:

So what do you think of Kacey sitting in with the powerhouse Katy Perry? As someone who is a big Kacey Musgraves fan, I think you can really tell that Katy is more comfortable on the stage. A lot of times it looked like Kacey was too timid to really take control of her parts of the song. Maybe she’ll be more comfortable singing her own songs? We’ll see when the show airs on June 13th. It’s the 50th episode of the series and they’re going all out. For the first time ever, it will air on multiple channels including VH1, MTV, MTV Hits and Palladia.

Drake Hot 10

Well since Maxim has their Maxim Hot 100 list out, I figured it’s time for me to do my list. I’m too lazy busy to do a full 100, so I’ve got my Hot 10 all ready for ya!

10. Emma Stone – I might have preferred to see her as Mary Jane instead of Gwen Stacey in the latest Spider-Man movies, but anytime she’s on the screen, I always pay attention to her!

9. Isla Fisher – Stage 5, clinger! I don’t know if I woulda been upset about that! She woulda been higher on this list, but I deducted a lot of points from being married to Sacha Baron Cohen.

8. Amy Adams – She’s shown to really have it all. She can do the goofy comedies, musicals, and the serious roles and look amazing doing them all!

7. Katy Perry – Probably the only pop star that still really intrigues me. She obviously uses her sexuality to her advantage without going over the top slutty with it.

6. Olivia Munn – Hosting “Attack of the Show” made me notice her. Showing herself as a serious actress in “Newsroom” made me fall in love with her!

5. Jennifer Lawrence –I might be wrong, but doesn’t she present herself like a girl you could hang out with and not be a complete stuck up?

4. Chloe Bennet – Not the first, or the last of my picks from the world of comic books. She’s on the show “Marvels Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D” but I first noticed her on a few episodes of “Nashville” she was on last year.

3. Kacey Musgraves – She’s country with an alternative style. She’s got a big case of “I don’t give a $%*# what you say, I’m gonna do things how I wanna do them!” There’s something super sexy about that.

2. Scarlett Johnanson – “Wow” is probably the most appropriate term for her. She’s got an amazing body, fun, outgoing personality, and did you see her in her Black Widow costume in the Marvel movies? WOW!

1. Alyson Hannigan – I might be the only person, other than her husband, to have her #1 on my celebrity list. As you can tell be others on this list, I love me some gingers! I’ve always loved her going back to her days on Buffy The Vampire Slayer. She’s always had that girl next door look to her. Now she’s more of a MILTWTVWATOAP! Mom-I’d-Like-To-Watch-TV-With-And-Take-On-A-Picnic!

Now all I need to do is get this list laminated and get my wife to sign off on it in case I ever happen to meet any of these ladies! ha

My tastes are very simple. I just don’t get into the uber-skinny, dead in the eyes models that other guys love. They just seem boring and like they’d be horrible people to hang around. Give me a girl that would enjoy watching TV in PJ’s on a Saturday night as opposed to one who has to go out to have a great time.

Adam Drake

Monday-Friday: 6p-10p

Howdy! Yes, another Adam joining in the Candy 95 craziness. I couldn’t be more excited to be here. Some people in town might recognize me as I’ve worked at a few other stations in the market, including a few month stop at Candy back in 2010. You might also realize that most of my time in radio has been spent doing country music. I do love me some honky-tonking country, but have a varied taste. Don’t believe me, just challenge me in SongPop and find out for yourself!

I’m a bit of a smart aleck with strong opinions, but also pride myself on being a pretty alright guy. Most of my time is spent with my wife and amazing son. If you follow me on Twitter or Instagram, you’ll no doubt see your fair share of pics of him.

If I can’t go to a place wearing boots and jeans, I probably don’t wanna be there in the first place.
