Video: George Clooney Arrested!

No, it wasn’t for a movie. Actor George Clooney, long a political activist, was arrested and handcuffed outside the Sudan embassy in Washington D.C. for protesting the country’s blockage of food and aid from entering the Nuba Mountains area of the country, as well as its treatment of its people.

Clooney’s father, journalist Nick Clooney, 78, was with him and was also arrested, as were Martin Luther King III, NAACP President Ben Jealous, Rep Jim McGovern (D-Mass.) and Rep. Jim Moran (D-Va.) and former Rep. Tom Andrews (D-Mass.). They were taken away in a police van.

Because the embassy is private property, Clooney and colleagues knew that refusing to move would end in arrest. They were warned three times before police moved in to make the arrests.

Four Hidden Things That Might Be Stressing You Out

#1.) Your Pet. In general, studies have shown that people with pets are happier, have less stress, and live longer. But if you have a PROBLEM pet, that’s not always the case.

-If your cat or dog constantly wakes you up at night, destroys your furniture, or causes anxiety, talk to your vet, or hire a trainer. And if nothing works, it’s okay to find them a new home.

#2.) Your Bedroom. Studies have found that when your home is messy, you’re more likely to be anxious, unhappy, and even have mild depression.

-Your bedroom should be a calm place where it’s easy to relax. So it’s the most important spot to keep clean. That means doing things like clearing off your bedside table, and not leaving dirty laundry, or even folded laundry sitting around.

#3.) Facebook. What your FRIENDS post can stress you out without you even realizing it.

-For example, if someone posts something about their promotion . . . and you just got CANNED . . . it can make you jealous, which makes you stressed. The same thing can happen from reading too many celebrity gossip sites.

-That doesn’t mean you should quit Facebook altogether. Just pay attention to how it makes you feel, and if it starts stressing you out, don’t log on so much.

#4.) The Light in Your Bathroom. How you see yourself first thing in the morning . . . and before you go to bed at night . . . can affect your self-esteem, which can affect your stress level.

-Regular fluorescent lights tend to make more wrinkles and blemishes show up. But you can buy compact fluorescent bulbs that have the same color temperature as the old-style incandescent bulbs . . . which is best for most people.

President Obama’s March Madness Bracket Revealed

President Barack Obama is going back to Carolina in his NCAA tournament bracket.

The president, who correctly picked North Carolina to win the 2009 NCAA championship, has the Tar Heels as the team to beat in his 2012 bracket, which was unveiled Wednesday.

Obama has North Carolina beating Kentucky, the overall No. 1 seed, in the title game. Ohio State and Missouri are his other Final Four selections.

Obama filled out a bracket for the fourth consecutive year. The past two seasons, he picked Kansas to win the title. The Jayhawks were eliminated early both times.

“I am going with North Carolina getting revenge for the regular season victory (Kentucky beat the Heels in December),” Obama said. “They are an older team more of experienced team. I think Kentucky is unbelievably talented, but I think (guard Kendall) Marshalls’ play — (forward Tyler) Zellers’ play — I see North Carolina winning it all.”

Obama said he went back and forth on North Carolina and Kentucky, but finally settled on the Tar Heels.

“I think this will be a great game,” he said. “I think it will come down to the wire. But in the end — I think it goes back down to Chapel Hill.”

The president has a couple of surprises in his Sweet 16 — New Mexico, the fifth seed in the West, and North Carolina State, the 11th seed in the Midwest.

The NCAA tournament continues Thursday. Obama attended a first-round game Tuesday night in Dayton with British Prime Minister David Cameron. The pair saw Western Kentucky rally to beat Mississippi Valley State 59-58.

Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney said he won’t be filling out a tournament bracket.

“I’m not plugged in well-enough this year to do that,” Romney said Tuesday during a brief exchange with reporters traveling with him in Missouri.

The president has Baylor, St. John’s, Connecticut and Notre Dame in the Final Four of his women’s bracket, which will be unveiled in its entirety Friday. The NCAA women’s tournament begins Saturday.

Barack is a known sports fan. I find that pretty frickin cool, Just sayin.
