Episode 12: “It’s Gonna Be Chaos”
We’re getting down to the nitty gritty on Survivor One World. With a group of six girls betrayal and deceit is sure to come.
Public Relations
I feel like if we ever got a public relations rep on Survivor they may have an interesting strategy. A lot of this game is about deflecting attention and keeping people happy. The best I’ve ever seen at this is Sandra, who won the game twice. She went from week to week, putting herself in a winning position at all times. You wouldn’t vote her out, because she wasn’t the lead dog in your mind. Sabrina and Kat jump out to me as people that have to play this game. They’ve been able to use Kim and ride themselves to a winning position.
The reward challenge was the annual family member challenge. The castaways were teamed up with their loved one’s in an effort for a food reward. Kat and her cousin miraculously won the reward. This was a big moment for Kat to make a public relations move. Tarzan has been overly emotional in missing his wife. Christina’s father has limited time to live. They were the slam dunk people to choose, to win good spirits in the tribe. What does she do? Picks Kim (who didn’t pick her in the last challenge) and Alicia. Kat is a complete idiot. Her lack of understanding for the game of Survivor is sickening, and her cult following of Kim is alarming. I really don’t understand why Kat was picked for this show. She had a chance to win jury votes, win respect, and make deals with other players than Kim. Instead she wanted to take her friends on a reward. If you aren’t playing the game 110% of the time you are on that island, you don’t deserve a million dollars.
A Way With Words
At the immunity challenge Kat showed her physical strength once again. It was an endurance challenge on water. It came down to Kim and Kat, with Kim prevailing on immunity yet again. Kat came down in tears whining that Kim won’t let her win one. Does Kim need to hold Kat’s hand too? What does she not understand. THIS IS A GAME FOR A MILLION DOLLARS. Why is somebody supposed to, “let you win?” With Sabrina and Chelsea furious at Kat’s decision on the reward challenge, the votes were coming for Kat. Kim’s original idea was to vote out Sabrina however. With Sabrina being such a strong speaker, for good reason. With Kat’s recent surge in challenges Alicia deemed Kat as a physical threat. With these three girls plotting against Kat, Kim joined them to stun Kat and vote her out. The first of the core girl alliance was eliminated. It’s interesting that Kat exited before the lowly Christina.
I now want to talk about Sabrina. She was the first out at the immunity challenge, and I don’t buy it. Sabrina to me has been laying back at challenges. She has gone off everyone’s radar, except Kim’s. Sabrina used clever wording to throw Kat under the bus. Did she really want to get rid of Kat? Or was it just that Sabrina used her poor decision as a good excuse? Also while at tribal council Sabrina put fear into her fellow castaways by stating she would not vote a liar to win the game, even if they deserved it. Sabrina is smarter than what the show credits her for. She will beat anyone in a landslide at jury votes. It is now time for her to step it up in immunity challenges and I think she will.
Kat was awfully devastated by Kim turning on her at the end of the show. Kim’s chances to win this game continue to decrease, even though she has played the best. Again this game is a lot about public relations. Right now Sabrina is the best bet.

Is it really true that Adele has outsold the iconic Michael Jackson!? At least in the UK it is. A recent report shows that Adele‘s 21 sales are at 4,274,300 copies in the UK. However she has a LONG way to go in catching up to MJ in overall sales.
Adele 21 – 20 million worldwide sales Michael Jackson Thriller - 100 million worldwide sales!

Taylor may be stepping up her acting game soon! Sources are saying that Taylor Swift would be a lead candidate to play Sandy in a possible remake of Grease. You may remember Taylor playing a minor role in romantic comedy, Valentines Day. Do you think she will fit well in this 1978 classic?

Episode 11: “Never Say Die”
Talk about a frustrating episode of Survivor! My worst nightmare appears to be coming true, as the castaways have forgot how to think for themselves. I’m finding that people are playing to not be voted out, rather than to win the game. This scenario always makes for a dull end of the season.
Million Dollar Decisions
Survivor is filled with numerous million dollar decisions. Sometimes it could voting out the wrong person. Sometimes it could be not making someone feel welcome. In this case, Kim promised Kat that she could come along if Kim won reward. Turns out at the reward challenge Kim won. Following Kim’s decision she chose Chelsea and Alicia instead. What? Why would you take your biggest alley on a reward? Kim has played a masterful game, but she has ticked some people off along the way. She needed to stay on good terms with Kat, for a jury vote. One jury vote lost, is a million dollars down the drain.
Play To Win Or Play To Stay?
I feel like a lot of castaways this season have simply played to stay alive. Troyzan last week proposed an idea for Alicia, Leif, Tarzan, and Christina a guaranteed final five shot. Instead they wanted to stick with Kim’s plan while being at the very bottom of an alliance. This type of thinking makes zero sense to me. You have to make at least one legitimate move to win a jury vote. Well with this go around Kat was the girl in question. Sensing blood, Troyzan tried to convert her over to his ideals. Kat continuously kept saying she was tired of being seen as a weak player. THAN DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT!!! Jeez these girls make me want to punch a hole through my wall.
Goodbye To An Awesome Competitor
Troyzan absolutely had to win immunity and he failed to advance passed the first round. After that, the rest really didn’t matter. Immunity was claimed by Kim, as she has completely dominated this game. Troyzan made his last attempts to sway a ticked off Kat, but as usual she wouldn’t bite. Troyzan was everything you want out of a Survivor contestant. He’s a huge strategist, athletic, loves the game, and great for the camera. The show will not be the same going forward without him.
Russell Hantz Factor
The more people Kim orchestrates to vote out, the further I think she is getting away from victory. She needed more girls on the jury. While it’s hard to fault Kim’s logic or game play, it may be impossible for her to win. Russell had it all figured out, but he ran into a bitter jury. With EVERY member of the jury right now being a male, it just doesn’t seem logical. Kim can win one way and one way only. Her final three needs to feature a combination of, Chelsea, Tarzan, or Christina. I have a feeling Kat gets votes thrown her way, because she is an oddball of the group. I know for a fact Sabrina can beat her with a final jury speech, plus a likeable personality. Kim is on thin waters right now, but I think she will make it to the end. Sabrina is most likely to go next unless she can win immunity. Finally Alicia, holds a chance to do something but will she ever become a leader? Till next time!
