Oh Mark, Mark, Marky Mark, Mark.
I generally like Mark Wahlberg. His music is entertaining, he’s attractive, and next to Bruce Willis, he’s my favorite “butchy” actor who seems to posses some shred of legitmate talent. Case in point: Contraband.
But some aspects of Mark’s personality are totally lacking- like take awards show Mark for example. Awards show Mark is a tool. Sure he’s got a bunch of successful tv shows under his production companies belt, but that doesn’t mean he has to take all the credit for it – which he does, repeatedly.
You will see this guy gracing the cover of the new issue of Men’s Journal.
Where it’s come to my attention that interview Mark is also a tool. Brace yourself.
When asked what he would have done if he had been on one of the airplanes that was hijacked on 9/11: “If I was on that plane with my kids, it wouldn’t have went down like it did,” Wahlberg says. “There would have been a lot of blood in that first-class cabin and then me saying, ‘OK, we’re going to land somewhere safely, don’t worry.’”
Like all the people who lost their lives were a bunch of p@*!$ that just let this tragedy unfold and he’s the only bad!#* left in the world or something.
Now “allegedly,” he was originally scheduled to be on one of the hijacked flights on 9/11, but he changed his tickets last minute. That really doesn’t change my opinion that his statement in this interview is d*^#$%& though.
And, I’d just like to point out that Mr. Wahlberg doesn’t do all of his own stunts… so maybe he was just planning on boring the terrorists to death ala his acting in “the Happening.”
What do you think of his statement?
And seriously, Mark Wahlberg or Liam Neeson?
Now here’s a guy who could have pwned the terrorists. Just saying.
