There are some givens, like the Jimi Hendrix version of Bob Dylan’s “All Along the Watchtower”, or Jeff Buckley’s take on Leonard Coen’s “Hallelujah”.
There are some controversial entries too… like Mumford & Sons’ version of Simon & Garfunkel’s “The Boxer” , the Foo Fighters’ cover of Jerry Rafferty’s “Baker Street”, and Ellie Goulding’s attempt at Elton John’s “Your Song”.
There are also some songs you probably didn’t know were covers, like Aretha Franklin’s “Respect” , Natalie Imbruglia’s“Torn”, and Blondie’s “The Tide is High”.
