Petites to Plus, Cheap to Chic

When It comes to fashion I can tell you now that I have never been a Fashionista however, my girlfriend has recently got me into the idea of exploring the world of thrifting. More specifically consignment shopping. Ok, so I know what you’re thinking, what does that mean Audrey? Consignment shopping is basically a boutique that will take your clothes and try to resell them for you. Instead if you have pieces you want to sell they give you half the profits of whatever you sell. It’s a way easier way to earn more for your money and find some high-end pieces of clothing at an awesome price. The shop that has been catching my eye lately is Couture Closet. I have been falling in love with shopping all over again and the best thing is it’s all been on a budget.

Back To School

Let’s get into the clothes. This week it’s been all about back to school. I love to dress up, but I also love to be comfortable. We all know just how hot and humid August can be here in Texas, but there is nothing like a cute maxi dress.

This dress I found and thought it was just adorable. Plus it was able to give me that Aggie spirit with the maroon and white. Matching this with a vintage faux leather black bag and Tommy Hilfiger cardigan it was like a match made in heaven. As far as accessories I felt like I had to pair this with a belt just to give my body some shape. As women we all have beautiful curves and every now and then it never hurts to embrace them. The belt was my own add and the sandals were also from my own closet. The staple accessories for this look is the necklace and ring, which surprisingly was under $10. All together this outfit came in at $25. Can you say winning!!!! =)

Next outfit is all about date night!! Now ladies we always want to be cute however we also want to have fun, that’s what attracted me to this romper. I love the gold studs and, the fact that its dressed up, but I can still let loose and have fun with it. What truly made this romper even more fun to rock was of course the accessories.

This Betsey Johnson purse I found, literally screamed my personality the moment I saw it. Best part what would normally be a $100 or $200 dollar purse I got for $26. The bracelet and heart stud earnings were pretty much just icing on the cake. Combined they were another deal coming in under $10. The only thing I needed to add from my own closet was the shoes. =}

Finally, since it is First Friday I figured to find that perfect casual downtown outfit. I told you earlier that I love maxi dresses, I am all about the comfort so this time I decided to switch it up with a maxi skirt, and American Eagle tank. I know, simple and laid back that is definitely me.

What I used to dress this look up was these cute matching ring and earrings that I found. What caught my eye when it came to finding these, was the colors and of course the bling. I loved that they incorporated a couple of different colors not to mention they stood out perfectly with the vintage Coach purse I found. What!! Did I say that? Yes I did!! VINTAGE COACH purse!! My night was pretty much set to hit downtown Bryan!!
