Bring on the good times!! Another year of beautiful people, amazing food, and most importantly great music hit the the stage again at this years Austin City Limits music festival. This years performances ranged from headliners like Jay-Z, Chance The Rapper, The Killers, The Gorillaz to the very popular Portugal. The Man, and everything else in between. Our very own Audrey Rose and Mavrick’s 100.9 Karina were able to catch the good time.
This year the festival saw the musical styles of over 140 performers on eight separate stages. Literally any music lovers dream come true. Who had some of the best performances this year? The Red Hot Chili Peppers rocked the main stage Saturday night with an unforgettable performance of some of their hits like “Under The Bridge” and “Give it Away.” Chance The Rapper and Ice cube took the crowd by storm, performing some explosive numbers on stage.
The Killers and the Gorillaz, however had by far the best sets of the night. From the stage production to the overall performance the audience was going crazy in that moment for both bands.
ACL is not only about the amazing music, but also the opportunity to see and buy some incredible art, and eat some of the best local eats in Austin. Comfort food is taken to the nest level with treats from local favorites like Burro Cheese Kitchen, Tiff’s Treats, and everything else in between. If you can think of it, chances are this festival has it. Rumor has it Jay-Z and his entire crew indulged in one of their festival favorites The Mighty Cone right after their set on Friday night.
Hands down if you are looking to enjoy a festival with some amazing music, some of the worlds best eats, and the most unique and tasteful art in Texas Austin City Limits music festival is calling your name.
