After releasing “Filthy” from his upcoming album Man of the Woods, Justin Timberlake has shown the world that his next body of work might not be what people were expecting. Given the title and artists like Chris Stapleton being featured on tracks, most were expecting a folksy/country experiment as a call back to his Memphis roots. However, so far it’s been anything but.
Justin stopped through New York’s 1Oak nightclub recently and played a few songs for the partygoers who leaked videos online via Snapchat and other social media. Similar to“Filthy,” the clips that have surfaced online seem to be hip-hop-flavored, pop and dance-friendly tracks in line with much of Timberlake’s prior output.
