Martin Shkreli AKA “The Most Hated Man In America” AKA Pharma Bro has been arrested and sentenced to seven years in federal prison and to $7.4 million in fines for two counts of securities fraud and one count of conspiring to commit securities fraud. You might remember Shkreli for the backlash he received after obtaining the AIDS drug Daraprim and hiking the price from $13.50 to $750 per pill. He also bought the Wu-Tang “Once Upon a Time in Shaolin” for $2 million, didn’t release it to the public, and talked crap about it.
Apparently finding juror who can be unbiased is pretty tough for Martin’s case. The internet has been going through the jury selection transcript and people are absolutely roasting him.
Juror #59 was particularly upset at Shkeli for disrespecting the Wu-Tang album.
“It’s my attitude toward his entire demeanor, what he has done to people… And he disrespected the Wu-Tang Clan.”
