1. The Power of 1%
Pat Riley, former head coach of the Lakers, encouraged his players to focus on a 1% improvement. A short term goal that’s easy to quantify and clearly within reach. This small shift can have a huge impact on your ultimate success!
2. Get an early start.
Successful individuals are commonly early risers. When you roll out of bed early you have the energy to tackle projects, workout and get things done before the sun goes down.
3. Turn off the television in the morning.
This is the quickest way to lose valuable time that you could be spending getting a jump start on your day’s projects.
4. Have fun with what you’re doing.
When you enjoy what you’re doing you’re more likely to follow through and complete your project. Try doing things with friends or making it a competition.
5. Get plenty of sleep.
If you’re waking up early you’ve got to go to bed early! Getting a full night’s sleep has all kind of health benifits!
6. Dream big, but start small.
Zuckerberg didn’t create the Facebook empire overnight. It started out as a college project! Have lofty goals but make sure you’re setting reasonable ones that you can see how to complete.
7. Put passion behind what you do.
When you find something that you truly care about you’re much more likely to sacrifice to make it great and make a difference
8. Know when to say no.
You can’t do everything. Take opportunities when they come to you but learning when to say no opens up more room for more opportunities.
