PRINCE’s autopsy was completed on Friday but a cause of death won’t be determined for another four to six weeks. There were no signs of trauma on his body but TMZ claims he’d overdosed on Percocet, which he had for a bad hip, the week before.
Prince’s body was released to the family and he was cremated. There was a small private memorial service on Saturday where family and friends celebrated his life. There’s no word on where the remains will be kept.
The family says they’re organizing a “musical celebration” for Prince’s fans and details are still being finalized.
Some AMC and Carmike theaters are screening “Purple Rain” this week to pay tribute. There’s a list of the participating theaters here.
