Long time ESPN broadcaster and commentator Brent Musburger did not know when to quit during the Sugar Bowl Monday night.
While commentating the Oklahoma/Auburn match up Musburger stated he was glad Joe Mixon was getting a second chance and wished him well in the NFL without going into detail about the event in 2014 where Mixon assault a woman in a restaurant leaving her with several broken bones in her face.
Naturally the internet was not happy about it and let him know. Then Musburger decided to address his haters on national TV.
Brent. Just stop man.

I rewound this to make sure I wasn't being too tough on Brent. Nope. It's even worse the second time. This is embarrassing. pic.twitter.com/QAoikxck9G

Brent Musburger just attempted to walk back his Joe Mixon comments and was just as bad the second time.

Musburger referring to Mixon's punch as "troubling" is, uh, troubling.

ESPN could have used the Joe Mixon story to address a huge problem in sports. Instead Brent Musburger wished him a lengthy NFL career. Yeesh
