Aggie Class of ’83 Runs Through ISIS Sniper Fire to Save a Little Girl

“If I die doing this, my wife and kids would understand”‘

David Eubank graduated from Texas A&M in 1983 with a degree in Political Science where he went on to serve in the Army for 10 years.

In 2015 Eubanks was in Mosul where ISIS fighters had cut down men, women, and children trying to escape their neighborhood when he saw a little girl among the bodies across the street. He and his men quickly devised a plan to extract her. Two soldiers would lay down suppressing fire while Eubanks ran across the exposed street to retrieve the girl. The plan was successfully executed in 12 seconds.
