The streaming service announced the sequel on the 20th anniversary of the original Chicken Run film. The sequel is set to be produced by Aardman Animations, the same company behind the original, as well as another claymation classic, Wallace and Gromit. Variety says the plot will focus around Ginger and there has been no confirmation on who will voice the characters.
