A SpongeBob SquarePants pop-up shop is coming to Houston

Houston Chronicle – If you love SpongeBob Squarepants as much as I do, news of Bikini Bottom making its way to Houston is sure to excite you.

Plethora Houston is bringing a SpongeBob SquarePants-inspired pop-up restaurant, bar and hotel to the city from March 26 to April 25. And if you’re wondering what you should get me for my March 30 birthday, yes, that is it.

Dubbed the “Rusty Krab Experience,” the interactive event will feature “double the photo-ops” and “quadruple the interactive fun,” according to an Instagram post.

Patrons will be able to try the tasty “risky pattie,” which is a play on the infamous Krabby Patty. They’ll also be able to get their very own driver’s license by enrolling in “Mrs. Puffies Boating School” and participate in a COVID-friendly scavenger hunt.

Hilton Americas-Houston on Lamar Road, which is where the event is being held, will also be turning some of the hotel’s rooms into the Nickelodeon underworld, Bikini Backside, according to the Houston Times.
