Marvel – Following the passing of Chadwick Boseman, who starred in Marvel Studios’ Black Panther as King T’Challa, ABC aired special presentation of the film, along with an accompanying segment, A Tribute for a King.
Hosted by Good Morning America’s Robin Roberts, the special highlights Boseman’s far-reaching impact on the Marvel Cinematic Universe but the world as the character — and movie — quickly became a global cultural phenomenon, inspiring millions of fans around the globe.
Not only did Boseman play T’Challa in 2018’s Black Panther, but he also appeared in Marvel Studio’s Captain America: Civil War, Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Infinity War, and Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Endgame. In addition to that, he portrayed a bevy of influential historical figures, including Jackie Robinson in 42 (2013), James Brown in Get On Up (2014), and as Thurgood Marshall in Marshall (2017).
