That sentiment may encapsulate the upcoming feature, which from the trailer promises high energy and emotion from excuse me, i love you, with a mix of Grande’s stage performances, behind-the-scenes footage, and exclusive moments such as the one above, alone in her room.
Since beginning her previous tour in 2017, Grande experienced a terrorist attack at a concert, a highly public whirlwind romance and breakup, and the death of her ex-boyfriend. She tears up before a performance in the Netflix trailer, telling her dancers and the rest of her team that Sweetener saved her in 2019. The film version might be exactly what fans need in 2020.
