Attention: Netflix, Hulu, HBO Go and any other streaming services, there may be a new sheriff in town. Yes, that is correct! CBS could be taking over the subscription service field. CBS announced today that they are going to offer a new subscription streaming service that will allow users to stream CBS programs LIVE. The service is going to be called “CBS All Access” and it will be separate from a traditional TV subscription.
Will this be the end of services like Netflix? I personally do not think that is the case. Honestly, if I am wanting to watch something live then I would just find a way to get in front of a TV. There is no reason in my mind that I would pay six bucks a month to watch live TV on a network that comes free over the air. So, I personally, do not think this “live streaming” will effect the traditional streaming services. Seems a little impractical to me!
