College Majors Most Likely to Lead to Living in Mom’s Basement?

The stigma about moving back in with your parents is fading away… so many people do it these days, you’re almost weird if you’re 22 and NOT living at home.  But it’s still not the most ideal situation and gets less ideal the older you get.

“Time” magazine analyzed Census data to figure out which college majors are most likely to lead people right back to living in their mom’s basement at age 22 . . . and at age 29.

Criminal justice majors are most likely to move home right after college . . . 61% live with their parents when they’re 22.

There are seven other majors where at least half of people move right back home:  Education, History, Liberal Arts and humanities, Architecture, Communications, Medical and health science and services and physical fitness.

Engineering majors are the least likely to live at home after college only 32% move back in with their parents.

When you get to age 29 history majors are the most likely to still be living at home at 16%.  Also 15% of psychology, liberal arts, and philosophy majors are still living with their parents.
