Cops in Cali Caught a Criminal Thanks to Girl Scout Cookies

Girl Scout Cookies… They literally fight evil.

A task force on gangs tried to stop 31-year-old for a motorcycle code violation in Hemet, California last week but he sped off.  He wound up hitting 100 miles-an-hour so the cops called off the chase for safety reasons but as he was speeding away they noticed he threw something in the bushes.

And when they checked out what it was they found a box of Thin Mints!  There was even a note with a phone number on the box that said “call if you want more cookies.”

So the cops called the number, found an adult who was helping sell the Girl Scout Cookies and asked her if a guy on a motorcycle had just bought the Thin Mints.  She said YES and that she could identify him.

Meanwhile some other cops found the motorcycle at a trailer park and took the guy into custody because they were pretty sure he was the guy riding it.  When the woman from the Girl Scouts confirmed they were right he was arrested.

Now he’s facing a charge of felony reckless evading.
