Dolores O’Riordan has passed away according to a statement made to the BBC News by her publicist. “The lead singer with the Irish band The Cranberries was in London for a short recording session” her publicist said. “No further details are available at this time.”
The statement went on to say “Family members are devastated to hear the breaking news and have requested privacy at this very difficult time.” O’Riordan was 46 years old.
The Cranberries were known for mega hits such as Zombie, Dreams, and Linger, and have sold more than 40 million albums worldwide.
