Dozens of Strangers Played “Pokemon Go” With an Autistic Kid Who Was Bullied

If you think nothing good can come out of this whole “Pokemon Go” thing, here’s proof that it can.

There’s a 15-year-old kid in Arizona named Ty and he’s autistic.  He was playing “Pokemon Go” at a park a few weeks ago when two older kids called him the R-word and squirted barbecue sauce on him.

Ty’s sister posted about what happened on Facebook.  Hundreds of people gave him support and a group decided to get together to help Ty feel safe playing again. So this weekend, Ty went back to the park to play more “Pokemon Go” and DOZENS of strangers showed up to play with him.

His mother says, quote, “I’m just so grateful because if this wouldn’t have happened, we would still be hiding in our house like a lot of families like ours do.”
