Fashion Friday

One thing I can for sure say about myself is I have a very wild and crazy personality. I truly just enjoy creating and being able to express different sides of myself, especially when it comes to clothes. That’s why this week’s Fashion Friday is all about embracing patterns! One thing they definitely have over at Couture Closet Resale Boutique is patterns and designs. They are currently in transition from summer pieces to fall, so now is the perfect time to stock up on all of your favorite bright colors and interesting patterns!

Leopard Queen

Outfit 1

Hands down my favorite type of pattern to rock is leopard print. I guess that should come as no surprise, because I’m always attracted to things that are just a little crazy and wild like myself. This top was eye catching! Not only because of the patterns, but I also loved the high rise front, and it was only about $5! It was a no brainier to style this with a skirt or skinny jeans would be perfect, if skirts aren’t really your thing, because it accentuates your shape. Speaking of the skirt, it too was a find at Couture Closet for only $7.99.

Alright, now no outfit can be complete without the accessories, so let’s start with the bracelets. The thing that pops the most when it comes to this outfit is the turquoise. So, that is the color I decided to play up the most by wearing the turquoise bracelet to the necklace. The Golden find had to be the Michael Kors sunglasses, which I paired with the brown Fossil watch. Add some silver studs for fun and this outfit was done!

All together, believe it or not, this look you can get for under $30!

Flower Power

Funny story when it comes to this outfit. Red is a color I’ve always felt that stands out. No matter where you wear it or how you rock your favorite outfits, the moment you start to add red, you’re bound to standout. That’s the reason this Express flower printed shirt was attractive to me so much. What was even funnier was while I was trying this shirt on, the original owner, Stacey Wilkinson, happened to be in the store trying on clothes in the dressing room next to me. We thought it funny knowing that her sale can be another person’s treasure! That’s the beautiful thing about consignment shopping. So, thanks Stacey for the inspiration. =) I decided to pair with this shirt with the solid blue skinny jeans that made this flower print standout! Best part they were only $16.99.

Since blue was the accent color, I decided to embrace the blue with my accessories starting with the navy blue earrings and ring. They both were under $10. To give me some balance, I had fun adding this white watch, which is also under $10. My favorite find for this outfit was the navy blue Jimmy Choo purse. Yes, I’ll let that sink in for just a second, because I’m sure you’re surprised that I even found this hidden gem this week! The best part of it all was that it was at a discount from what you would pay for it at retail prices.

All together this outfit minus, the Jimmy Choo purse, you can get under $50. =)

Zig Zag Fab

Sometimes I feel when it comes to stripes, there is no happy medium. Either they work for you or they just don’t. Surprisingly, this Marc Jacobs dress was something that screamed fun. What I loved the most about this dress, was being able to play with the zig zag patterns. The dress itself was under $15, and the only thing I had to play with was the accessories!

So, what did I match with this? I found a plain black belt and a matching bracelet and earrings to go with this look. Personally for me since this zig zag pattern is a louder pattern, I decided to scale it back with the accessories and keep it simple. What could also be a good match with this is solid colors or more specifically for me, black. There was the cutest black Tommy Hilfiger purse that went perfectly with the belt, which will unquestionably make you stand out!
