If you aren’t familiar with Periscope it’s a new app from Twitter that lets you stream live video broadcasts of whatever you’re doing.
Well a 23-year-old from Lakeland, Florida was driving home DRUNK on Saturday night and decided to broadcast her ride LIVE on Periscope. She opened up her broadcast by saying, quote, “I’m driving home drunk. Let’s see if I get a DUI.”
Several people saw and called 911 to report her. Shortly a cop in Lakeland went on Periscope to track Whitney down. Savvy guy!
By the time they caught up with her she’d already blown out a tire by hitting a sign and hopped a curb when she tried to pull over.
She was arrested for driving under the influence. Surprise Surprise!
