Kesha Lost Lawsuit VS Sony But Pop Singers Are Coming to Her Aid

Kesha broke down into tears in court on Friday after a judge refused to let her out of her six-album record deal with Sony.

For two years she’s been trying to get away from her former mentor and bigtime producer at Sony Dr. Luke. She claims he abused her sexually, physically, verbally, and emotionally for about a decade.

According to Kesha he drugged and raped her shortly after her 18th birthday in 2005 which was five years before they finally put out her debut album “Animal”.  He also produced her second album “Warrior” in 2012.

The judge felt that Kesha didn’t provide enough proof of Dr. Luke’s abuse and noted that Sony is not forcing her to work with him however Kesha believes that they won’t promote her music unless she does.

Despite the outcome a lot of female artists are showing support for her on social media including Lady Gaga, Ariana Grande, Iggy Azalea, Kelly Clarkson, JoJo, and Lorde.  Demi Lovato Tweeted out a long rant about how she felt Kesha’s bravery in coming forward about the abuse was disrespected.

Taylor Swift sent her $250,000 to help out with the expenses that have built up over the past two years.
