Kobe Bryant Finished His Career with a 60-Point Game

Kobe Bryant left the game of basketball in style last night scoring 60 points against the Utah Jazz. Before tonight, no player had ever ended his career with 50 points, let alone 60.

It was also the most points scored by a player this season and the Lakers won the game 101 to 96.  At first it didn’t look like Kobe was going to have much of a night.  It took him five whole minutes to get his first points.

The night started with a tribute from another famous Laker, Magic Johnson that was followed by video tributes from former teammates and rivals, including Steph Curry, LeBron James, Carmelo Anthony, Dwyane Wade, Shaq, Derek Fisher, and Lamar Odom plus former coach Phil Jackson.

Then the crowd was treated to a bass guitar version of the national anthem, courtesy of Flea from the Red Hot Chili Peppers.
