And after quite a bit of experimenting the top three cheeses for a grilled cheese sandwich are: Gouda, Gruyere and Manchego.
Now I know what you’re thinking… How about some cheeses I actually have in the fridge bro? Your best bet from those is a mild cheddar. It won’t melt quite as well as those fancy cheeses but it’s better than most of the other options.
