A sequel to the hugely popular movie The Greatest Showman is currently in the works, it has been confirmed.
Speaking to the Sun, director Michael Gracey confirmed that he and star Hugh Jackman had initiated the process, saying: “When a movie becomes as big a success as this, it’s only natural there is demand for a sequel.
Gracey was in London to support Jackman, who opened this year’s Brit Awards with a song from the surprise hit musical – the movie’s soundtrack wasn’t nominated, but its popularity meant the performance provided a suitably spectacular opening to the ceremony.
Discussing the success of The Greatest Showman, the director admitted it had been a difficult project to get off the ground.
