Last month, more than 65,000 people signed a petition asking that Snoop Dogg narrate a whole season of the nature documentary “Planet Earth”. It was inspired by the ‘Plizzanet Earth’ bit he did for “Jimmy Kimmel Live”.
Snoop said he was up for it at the time and now he’s turned the idea into a YouTube show called ‘Planet Snoop.’ The first installment is called “Squirrel Vs. Snake”, and it’s basically Snoop narrating a battle between the two animals.
For licensing reasons, it looks like the series will feature footage from other YouTube videos, not actual “Planet Earth” clips. And we’re assuming he’s doing more but there’s no “official” timetable.
