Last week Clara Harris was released from prison after 16 years for murdering her husband, David Harris.
In late July of 2002, Clara Harris confronted her husband and his mistress at a hotel in southeast Houston. After being escorted to her car by hotel security, she waited for David to exit then ran him over three times in her Mercedes with her step-daughter in the car.
She was convicted and sentenced to 20 years in prison.
The crazy part?? David Haris was Catnip’s orthodontist!
“I was 11 at the time. I remember having my initial appointment to with Dr. (David) Harris to see if I needed braces. I had planned to go back a few months later to have them put on but then this madness happened. David Harris actually put on my older brother’s braces but had to switch doctors when he had them taken off. It’s insane that she’s being released. She ran down her husband with her step-daughter, a kid, in the car. It doesn’t excite me that someone who can achieve that level of crazy is walking the streets again.”
