“Time” magazine just released a list of the 50 most influential gadgets of all time. Their technology editors and writers put it together, and they definitely made some bold choices.
Other gadgets that made the list were the Victrola record player in sixth place, the iPod in ninth, the VCR in 12th, Nintendo in 15th, the Polaroid camera in 27th, the Fitbit in 42nd and the Segway in 48th.

1. The iPhone. It was the first phone that was just a touch screen, and it introduced the concept of the app.
2. The Sony Trinitron. It was the first really good color TV, and the most popular one.
3. The Apple Macintosh computer. It showed that people wanted computers that were more user friendly.
4. The Sony Walkman. It was the first simple, portable music player that was affordable.
5. The IBM Model 5150 PC. It was the beginning of the personal home computer era.
