ET– The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame’s 2021 inductees have been revealed! On Wednesday, the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame announced that Tina Turner, JAY-Z and Carole King are among its 2021 class.
Other inductees in the performer category, which honors bands and solo artists who have created music whose originality, impact and influence has changed the course of rock & roll, include The Go-Go’s, Foo Fighters and Todd Rundgren.
This marks Turner’s second spot in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, as she was inducted in 1991 as part of Ike & Tina Turner. King is already in the hall as a songwriter, and will be going in this time as a performer. Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl will be inducted for a second time too, as he is already in the hall as a member of Nirvana.
It was additionally announced on Wednesday that the Musical Excellence Award, which is given to artists, musicians, songwriters and producers whose originality and influence creating music have had a dramatic impact on music, will go to LL Cool J, Billy Preston and Randy Rhoads.
