If you are a frequent Uber user get excited because the company will now be offering rental cars via startup Getaround directly within the Uber App.
Through Getaround’s model car owners decide for how long they want to make their vehicle available for rental. A range of vehicle types will be available for users, and cars can be rented for as short as an hour or for days.
Currently the service is only being offered in San Francisco however, Uber plans to expand the service in due time according to Uber CEO Dara Khosrowshai.
We are taking our vision of bringing multiple transit options into the app a step further with Uber Rent powered by @Getaround, a partnership w/ @masabi_com and an Uber Bike by @JumpMobility launch in DC. Just getting started! pic.twitter.com/lVFhyZWqLe
