Didn’t this movie come out like… two years ago?
Disney did in fact release a movie based on the “Jungle Book” story in 2016 but despite having some intense moments… it was still pretty family friendly.
Warner Brothers released the first look at their interpretation titled “Mowgli” which is being directed by Andy Serkis who is boasting a much darker take on the story.
“It’s great to scare kids in a safe environment because it’s an important part of development, and we all loved to be scared as kids, so we shouldn’t overly protect them.”
The film will feature Serkis as Baloo the Bear, Benedict Cumberbatch as Shere Khan, Christian Bale as Bagheera, and Cate Blanchett as Kaa.
“Mowgli” is set to release October 19th.
